Jesse Valadez from Utah is a Hip-Hop artist and compulsive songwriter with over 900 songs written and still counting. Also known by his stage name “S.P.I.T”, Jesse’s refined skill as a lyricist is very apparent in the compelling stories and messages that are integral parts of his music. ONE versatile artist with substance, that comes rarely that lies beyond the beat.

Growing up in the foster system, Jesse found solace in writing poetry. Times difficult to reach out to others, he found his voice expressed in the poetic verses he wrote. One day he found a beat to put those verses to and found inspiration, a means to cope with a very trying period in life. Naturally, poetry writing evolved into songwriting and has been at it ever since.

Today Jesse performs at local bars and venues in Salt Lake City, collaborating with other local artists.

Through Hip-HOP, Jesse hopes to bring more awareness to the hardships endured by children in the foster system; giving a voice to those who need to be heard. His message embodied by his stage name “ SPIT is to encourage others to embrace their strengths and weaknesses, and to realize that we all have a story to tell, each one just as important as another.
